Position - Volunteer: food preparation
We are looking for someone who can come to The Ecology Centre to lead the Healthy Eating Initiative on Friday lunchtimes. This involves preparing a light lunch (e.g. homemade soup and bread or pasta dish) as part of our drive to encourage healthy eating and provide a social opportunity for our Friday volunteers and staff. Help will be available for the preparation and clearing up. We have several small ovens/ hobs and are well stocked with new pans, chopping boards and other kitchen equipment. Ideally we are looking for someone over 50 as this is being initiated by our Enviro-Mentors programme. Qualifications are not required but someone with a friendly personality, an ability to prepare simple meals and the time to commit to once a week would be ideal. You will be rewarded with empty plates and happy volunteers!
