The Enviro-Mentors project is aimed at people who are 50 and over who would like to volunteer at The Ecology Centre. There will be many opportunities to try new activities, develop skills and knowledge, socialise with others and improve general health and well being.
The Ecology Centre worked with Perthshire Housing Association on the Greening Muirton project which formed part of the larger Muirton Estate regeneration project in Perth. Our brief was to involve local people, of varying abilities, in the creation of three small community gardens and a wildflower meadow within the Village Green
A joint project with Sustainable Communities Initiative (SCI) and supported by the Climate Challenge Fund. This two-year project will help local people in making simple changes to their lifestyles, to make a positive contribution to tackling climate change
Was an exciting environmental education and arts project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project ran from May to December 2008 and gave vulnerable young people from all over Fife the opportunity to explore and learn about the natural surroundings of The Ecology Centre.
