Enviro-mentors have joined forces with Tools for Self Reliance and Central Fife freegle to recycle and refurbish old tools. Some of these will be used by volunteers and children using the centre and some will be sent to approved projects in rural Africa. The new tool refurbishment project started in March 2011 at the Ecology Centre, and runs on Monday afternoons (1.00pm to 3.30pm). No experience is necessary, full training and support will be given (we learn together!), you can come every Monday afternoon or just drop in now and again when you can find the time.
We are also looking for donations of old Garden tools, wood working tools, vices and manual sewing machines are particularly welcome, anything except power tools really, so if you have any rusting in the back of your shed, please drop them off at the centre during normal office hours or ask us to collect them.
This is a great chance to Think Global, Act Local, you really can help make a difference!
Contact Jo or Jim at The Ecology Centre for further details.
