The Hive (formerly the Meeting Barn)

Located by the farm buildings in the courtyard of The Ecology Centre, The Hive is available for private hire.

The Hive can be used for meetings, conferences, training days or small celebrations such as an anniversary or birthday party. 

Studio / Stables / Grounds Occasionally, small basic studio rooms, stables and/or garden grounds become available for rent throughout the year. Please contact us to register your interest in renting space at The Ecology Centre.

Charges for The Hive are as follows (subject to availability)

Full Day Hire	£125.00*	£60.00
Half Day Hire (morning or afternoon)	£85.00*	£40.00
Hourly Charge		£10 per hour (£20 minimum charge applies)
Evening Hire		£60.00 (access from 6 p.m. to midnight unless otherwise arranged)

^{* Private use of The Hive during peak periods (e.g. Monday-Friday, 9-5pm) results in The Ecology Centre being unable to accommodate any educational bookings. In this case, we are required to cover the loss of these bookings and the full/half day cost(s) of educational sessions must be charged.}

All costs quoted for use of The Ecology Centre’s facilities will be confirmed at the time of booking and will take into consideration the use of all facilities and any heating / lighting required. Key access must be arranged directly with our office. The Cancellation Policy also operates for hire of any facilities at The Ecology Centre.

Facilities to make tea and coffee are available and outside catering can be arranged. The Hive is accessed by its own door within the courtyard and has separate disabled access to the side entrance.  A loop system is provided for hearing aid users.  Basic toilet facilities are also available.

Please note car parking is only permitted by the Loch car park.  Parking within the courtyard is permitted for disabled visitors only. For details of how to find us click here (link to map).
