Naturally Making A Difference

Our garden therapy project aims to grow wild flowers, herbs, native trees and vegetables, but mostly we aim to help people grow by:-

    • gaining new knowledge and practical skills
    • building social relationships
    • increasing confidence and self-esteem
    • working as part of a team

Poly Tunnel Plants

We provide supported training for people over 16 with a variety of disabilities; using development plans and monitoring progress for each participant.

Volunteers are also required to assist the garden therapy supervisor, working in small groups with participants.

Training and guidance will be given to volunteers, and they too can elect to have a tailored development plan.

The maximum commitment is one day per week from 10:00 – 15:00, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Times can be negotiated to suit the individual. The minimum timescale is normally three months.
