Your donations help make a big difference

The Ecology Centre is a local charity with a big heart that aims to provide people of all ages and abilities a hands-on, life changing experience of the natural world.

Why Donate?

Over the past few years we have made a big impact locally…

  • Delivered fun educational outdoor learning experiences to some 120 primary school classes and nurseries across Fife
  • Supported 15 young people through training to help them find new skills and paths in their careers
  • Offered a friendly and supportive environment for over 150 community volunteers to come and get their sleeves rolled up and help with gardens, growing veg, repairing tools, helping in our busy café to enable many others to enjoy all the Centre offers
  • Work with several local groups to provide nature therapy for challenged youngsters and disabled people
  • Run weekend eco clubs and various summer camps to help children explore nature and splash around in mud
  • Provide a beautiful local space for people to explore and enjoy – we get some 20,000 visitors a year

We want to do more, but we need your help

Like all Charities we try to generate income from a range of sources – from modest charges for some activities, to winning grant awards to donations from people like you.

  • To develop new educational programmes for school children costs £1,500
  • To build a new wildflower garden bed 2 x 3 m costs £75
  • To provide support to a skills seeker for 6 months costs £1,200
  • Staff to Manage and run one of our volunteer groups for an afternoon £40

How can you help?

Your donation, however large or small will help us to continue to make a difference to the lives of others. You can make a one of payment or set up a direct debit for monthly payments.

Supporting the work of The Ecology Centre is not just about financial contribution, we would also appreciate your time and expertise by joining our Board or volunteer team.

However you support us, we are extremely grateful and thank you for thinking of us.
