About the Role
To support the delivery of our Nest Café focusing on locally grown locally sourced produce. You will work within our centre team, support the delivery and development of our café and other catering requirements for the business. This is a Bank member of staff post and hours will be offered depending on the demands of the business
Key Responsibilities
Preparation, assisting with cooking and service of food to all catered groups and the day-to-day cafe
Ensuring routine checks are carried out and recorded in relation to fridge and freezer temperatures, stocking linens and chemicals in the kitchen
Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in kitchen areas
Dealing with incoming orders and storing them correctly
Supporting special events
To participate fully with the in-house and external training programmes that form part of your development opportunities
Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers, other staff and volunteers
Encouraging volunteers and ensuring a positive and collaborative spirit in the team
Assist in ensuring the Nest Café becomes a sustainable business
Any other relevant duties as may be required by the Business
Person Specification
Qualifications and training
Qualification in Hospitality at SCQF Level 5 (Desirable)
Elementary food hygiene certificate
Intermediate food hygiene certificate (Desirable)
Experience and Knowledge
Cooking experience in a relevant environment
