Staff and volunteers were jumping for joy last week when we received the good news that we had been awarded almost £45,000 from the Climate Challenge Fund.

You may remember last year that schools, community groups and householders around Kinghorn, Burntisland and Auchtertool were given practical support and free tools to help get them growing in their own gardens through their Easy Peas-y in the community initiative. This year, the project’s successor, Lemon Squeezy, will encourage anyone interested in growing food to come and do so at our brand new Centre. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide tools, advice, social company and practical support to help groups and individuals growing in their very own mini allotments at the lochside. If this sounds like the sort of thing you or your group would like to get involved in, Jo would love to hear from you, tel. 01592 891567 or e-mail: jo@theecologycentre.org
