We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for a Fife Voluntary Action Award for ‘Organisation of the Year’.
This award recognises an organisation demonstrating a significant impact on their local community. The organisation might have: a brilliant team of staff/volunteers, have displayed growth and sustainability or achieved exceptional results.
We’re very proud to have been shortlisted for this award and it means even more to us as Andrew McLennan nominated us. Andrew’s mum Christine was The Ecology Centre’s longest serving volunteer, who was with us for over 16 years and contributed over 2500 volunteering hours at the site, but unfortunately after a short illness she recently passed away. Christine was known and loved by all the volunteers and staff and was a big part of The Ecology Centre, especially in the gardens – where she could often be found.
