Fantastic afternoon at Pathhead Primary School today - our Education team have been working with a group of P7 boys for the last 6 months on achieving their John Muir Award. Today was their award ceremony where they all talked about their achievements, showed their film about their experience and they received their certificate and a personalised wood cookie.

We’re so proud of them - they have planted trees, removed litter from their local woods (removing trolley loads of rubbish, including old sofas and car seats!) and made some tasty pine flavoured tea!

Most importantly they have grown in confidence and strengthened friendships. One of the pupils talked about how going to the woods, spending time in nature and receiving support from The Ecology Centre staff helped him when he felt sad.  John Muir would be proud! Well done - great work!

If you're looking for some support on how we can help you and your school or nursery with outdoor learning call us on 01592 891567 or email admin@theecologycentre.org
