The weekly Wednesday tradition at The Ecology Centre is for all staff and volunteers to come together at our main volunteering day and enjoy a tasty homemade lunch together.  The lunch is made using freshly grown produce from our Community Garden and we all sit together, eat and share our news with each other.

We wanted to pull these recipes together and share them with you - through our NEW cookbook called 'Our Community Cookbook - Your Kitchen'.  It includes an array of recipes that have been designed to be easy, seasonal and cheap to cook for one person - up to thirty people.  The cookbook includes recipes from our Community Kitchen, and we’ve included tips on how to grow your own and the health and wellbeing benefits of working with nature.

The recipe book is available direct from The Ecology Centre or you can order a copy through our website.  It makes a great little stocking filler for Christmas and all proceeds raised go straight back into supporting the charity and the work we do through our volunteering programmes on our site, in our Community Garden and in our Tool Shed.

To show off our new cookbook to as many local people as possible we're attending some local Christmas markets where we will have stocks of our new cookbook available to buy.  Catch us at these locations in the next couple of weeks:-

  • Kinghorn Community Centre - Saturday 30th November - 10am until 2pm
  • Boglily Christmas Weekend Event - Saturday 30th November & Sunday 1st December - 9.30am to 3.30pm
  • Burntisland Christmas Market & Festival - Saturday 7th December - 4pm - 6pm

Thank you for your support and we hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year!
