Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Treasurer with proven experience in a relevant discipline, who can provide

support with the following areas of effective financial management and control:

  • Governance and control: Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial rules and

    regulations

  • Budgeting and Monitoring: Ensuring the charity practices effective budgeting, reporting and monitoring protocols, with appropriate analysis and communication of potential risks to the sustainability of the charity

Personal Qualities

Previous experience in environmental and/or third sector roles is welcome but not necessary, and

Preference may be given to individuals who are connected to our community and can have a

presence on-site, but we are open to fully remote working for this role.

How to apply:

We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds and look forward to receiving your application. Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and reasons for applying to Owen Black (owen.black@2050.scot). Applicants will be invited to attend an initial conversation with a member of the Board of Trustees in order to assess personality fit and values alignments and, if successful, will be invited to present a vision for the charity to all Board members ahead of a final decision. If you would like to discuss the role in advance of applying, please get in touch with Owen Black. We also encourage applicants to look at our website and Facebook page, which will tell you about what we're up to on a daily basis.
