Education Programme - Outreach and Visit The Ecology Centre

The Ecology Centre’s award-winning Education team are regularly out at Fife schools and community settings working with staff and young people to make environmental education inspirational and engaging.  We also welcome groups to our beautiful setting on the shores of Kinghorn Loch.  We offer bespoke packages for schools and groups that want to partner with us, either for a number of sessions or as a one off.

Here’s an idea of the sort of things we offer either in your own setting or at The Ecology Centre:-

If you’re looking for a topic that’s not covered here, give us a call on 01592 891567 or email liz@theecologycentre.org and we can chat about what you’re looking for.

Risk assessment

A Risk Assessment is available for our education programme. It can be downloaded and adapted for your visit. For Off-site activities we will carry out a site specific risk assessment prior to the session.

PEF and attainment funding

Many of the schools we work with use PEF/attainment funding for outdoor learning.  The Education team work in partnership with schools to help close the poverty related attainment gap and deliver outdoor learning in line with school improvement planning.  The team work with each school on an individual basis to make sure they are supporting staff and pupils in the most effective ways possible.
