Rock pools provide an insight into the wider marine environment, these microcosms harbour an astonishing varity of life, which have all had to adapt to the challenging conditions present in these ephemeral pools.Â
The event kicks off at 09:50am to make use of the low tide that morning and will run for 2 hours. All equipment (nets, buckets, trays & ID guides) will be supplied, so just bring yoursleves and a eagerness to learn. Lyle will set up in the middle of the beach, adjacent to St. James Place. Please keep an eye out for the weather conditions on the day and come dressed accordingly for the weather. Wellie boots and a rain jacket are always reccomended as the weather can change at the drop of a hat. This is a free event, however, if you wish to make a donation to the Ecology Centre that would be appreciated.Â
