The Ecology Centre will be joined by Dr. Richard Lilley from Project Seagrass & Associate Professor Dr. Alastair Lyndon from Herriot Watt. Over the course of this evening, you will learn about seagrass' role in coastal marine ecosystems and of nascent seagrass restoration efforts here in the UK.

About the event
The Ecology Centre will be joined by two of the UK's leading experts on seagrass, Dr. Richard Lilley and Associate Professor Dr. Alastair Lyndon, for a seagrass seminar on the 29th of November. Attendees will gain the opportunity to learn about these enigmatic coastal marine flowering plants, their ecological role in the marine environment, recent losses of these habitat forming species and nascent methods used to restore them. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask our pannelists questions about their ongoing work and about seagrass generally.Â
This event will commence at 6:30pm and end at 8pm. Refreashments (teas and coffees) will be supplied along with a selection of buscuits. This is a ticketed event due to a limited number of spaces, so please book your space in advance.Â
